Nicky is a founder and principal consultant for the Guild.

Nicky Stevenson has worked in the social enterprise/co-operative sector for over 20 years, and co-founded The Guild in 1991. She has a first degree in English Literature and an MSc in Education and Training.

Nicky heads The Guild’s consultancy team and has extensive experience in the policy agenda relating to the third sector. She has recently been working on the national empowerment agenda and the achievement of public service agreement targets.

Nicky’s research in the third sector has included a number of regional and sub-regional mapping exercises of social enterprise activity, the development of two regional social enterprise strategies, research into social enterprise finance and action research into the delivery of the IDB business support model in the social enterprise sector. She also designed and piloted the application criteria and guidance for the Social Enterprise Mark in the South West region.

Nicky is on the board of Social Enterprise East of England and was previously a board member of the Social Enterprise Coalition.
