Seamless Support goes regional

Social Enterprise East of England (SEEE) has awarded some of the Office of the Third Sector money for the Eastern Region to roll out the successful Seamless Support programme across all counties in the Eastern Region. The roll out programme will be managed by Co-operative Gateway East of England, of which The Guild is a member.

Seamless Support has operated in Norfolk for over 4 years as a partnership activity between the voluntary and community sectors and specialised social enterprise business support providers. It is funded through the Norfolk Investing in Communities programme.

Seamless Support operates as a pathway for people who may be interested in social enterprise as a delivery option for their visions and ideas. It also assists existing voluntary and community organisations who want to investigate the potential for income generation and the implications this might have on their structures and relationships. It is a cost-effective, county-wide service that has a very successful track record in supporting clients and assisting pre-start, start-up and growing social enterprises.

As a founder member of the Co-operative Gateway, The Guild has been working to establish contact with organisations in Suffolk that might be interested in forming the county-wide partnership. In order to illustrate the benefits of the programme The Guild will be holding a range of events in Suffolk over the next few months. Events include business support surgeries, training for front-line development workers in identifying social enterprise opportunities and one-to-one appointments for organisations facing particular issues.

If you are an individual or organisation based in Suffolk and interested in social enterprise support, or you are already providing support please email services[AT]the-guild.co.uk.
