We are based in the centre of Norwich, on the edge of the Norwich Lanes just down the hill from the Maddermarket Theatre. St John Maddermarket runs north from the beginning of Pottergate towards Duke Street and St Andrews car park. In fact, St Andrew's car park is just a stones throw across the road from our office.
The building is on the corner overlooking Charing Cross. Our doorway is clearly marked and is just to the left of Saints, an independent cafe. Step inside and climb the stairs. The Guild's reception is on the first floor. Please press the buzzer and someone will let you in.
From the Norwich Train Station
If you are taking a taxi just ask for St John Maddermarket.
Leave the station with your back to it and cross the car park towards the city centre (west).
Cross the junction and walk over the bridge (Nelson Hotel on your right).
The road ahead splits into two; take the right hand road (Prince of Wales Rd).
Walk up the hill eventually passing Anglia Television on your left.
Take the road (Bank Plain) on the right just opposite Anglia Television.
You pass the top of London Street, a pedestrianised area and you follow the left hand bend. After 50 yards you pass Norwich's independent cinema, Cinema City on your left.
Keep walking for another 200 metres. After passing The Rumsey Wells pub on your left, take the first road to your left. This is St John Maddermarket.
Our doorway is 5 metres up the road on your left, just before Saints Coffee Bar.
